On 21 May 2026, we were invited to attend one of Eden Primary Care Network’s Practice Roadshows, held for Kirkoswald Surgery at the local village hall in Kirkoswald.
The event brought together healthcare professionals, support services and members of the local community to help showcase the wide range of support available to patients across the area.
In the short overview clip filmed during the afternoon, Dr Dominic Arnold explains the thinking behind the roadshows and how they help patients better understand the services, advice and healthcare professionals available within their local community.
The roadshows provide a valuable opportunity for patients to:
- Meet local healthcare teams and organisations
- Ask questions about services and support available
- Learn more about community health and wellbeing resources
- Better understand the wider support available beyond traditional GP appointments
It was fantastic to see such positive engagement throughout the afternoon, with patients taking time to speak with teams and explore the different services available to them locally.
A huge well done to everybody involved in organising the event, and a special thank you to all the patients and community organisations who attended and helped make the day such a success.
Further Roadshows will take place at other practices across the Eden PCN area later this year.
