On Saturday 18 April 2026, The Croft Surgery Patient Participation Group (PPG) hosted a successful Spring into Health Day at Kirkbampton District Village Hall, welcoming residents from across the local area for a day focused on health, wellbeing, and community connection.
The event featured a range of activities and information stands designed to encourage happier, healthier lifestyles. Visitors enjoyed access to health and wellbeing advice, community-led classes, a local choir performance, and various other activities promoting physical and mental wellbeing.
Members of the PPG, Christine Clark and Sue Gallagher, were on hand throughout the day and featured in our short overview film on this page, sharing insights into the importance of community-led health initiatives and the positive impact of the event.
Organisers extended a huge thank you to everyone involved in planning and running the day, as well as all those who attended and supported the event. Special thanks were also given to Kirkbride, Kirkbampton, and Bowness-on-Solway Parish Councils for their support.
The organisers hope the event - which built on a previous event in 2024 - inspires and continues a tradition of bringing the community together in support of healthier, happier lifestyles.
